ritmus.fm is a self-hosted music streaming application. You run the server on your own hardware; we do not operate any central servers that handle your data. This privacy policy describes the limited circumstances in which any data may be collected.

Data we do not collect

Because ritmus.fm runs entirely on infrastructure you control, we have no access to:

• Your music library or any audio files
• Your listening history, playlists, or queues
• Your user accounts or passwords (stored on your server)
• Your IP address or network information
• Any personally identifiable information

What the mobile apps do

The ritmus.fm iOS and Android apps connect directly to the server address you provide. No data from the app is sent to us or any third party. Specifically:

• No analytics. We do not embed any analytics or crash-reporting SDKs that phone home.
• No advertising. The apps contain no advertising and no advertising identifiers are collected.
• No background data. The app communicates only with the server address you configure.

App Store & Google Play

When you download ritmus.fm from the App Store or Google Play, Apple and Google may collect information about that transaction according to their own privacy policies. This information is not shared with us and is governed solely by Apple's and Google's policies respectively.

This marketing website does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party analytics. No personal data is collected when you visit this site.

The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. If you have JavaScript disabled, the fonts load directly from Google's servers and are subject to Google's privacy policy. No other third-party resources are loaded.

Your server and your data

When you run the ritmus.fm server, you are responsible for the data stored on it. We recommend:

• Keeping your server software up to date
• Using strong passwords for user accounts
• Not exposing your server to the public internet without authentication
• Taking regular backups of your music library and configuration

Children's privacy

ritmus.fm does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. As a self-hosted application, it collects no personal data from any user of any age.

Changes to this policy

If this policy is updated in a material way, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
